HuffPost curated some fantastic ideas on building buzz around your company’s blog, including one of my favorite tips. I always recommend writing for people—obviously, right? But it can be tempting to write solely for SEO or to write content just for the sake of it. To really score high (with your readers and SEO alike), you need unique and engaging content that’s either helpful, entertaining, or both. Your content should lure readers back over and over again. They should consider it a reference. What kind of writing would you like to read? That’s what you should be crafting, from the title to the conclusion.

Other tips include writing a range of topics because niche writing can get old (and stale) fast. Some recommend writing content that’s longer and at a higher level. Not all of your content has to be this comprehensive, but if it makes sense for your audience then it should be a part of your strategy.

By sharing the occasional proprietary information and studying other blogs in your industry, you’ll have plenty of fresh material to cover.
